Where do you meet?
The Boulder Flying Circus Birders meet every week at different locations around Boulder County. The destinations are determined for conditions and are posted in Friday evening emails. Sign up for the emails to be notified about where to meet and you will also receive the Flying Circus Newsletter which comes out every other week. The newsletter contains reflections and photos from the walk.
Where do you go?
We explore mostly in Boulder County, CO because of time constraints, but we occasionally wonder further. In winter, we are more likely to stay on the plains and in summer we venture into the foothills and mountains more.
The walks are free. If you would like to make a donation in appreciation for the walks or Flying Circus Weekly, please click here.
Can I come for part of the walk?
Many folks have other engagements later or are birding with children etc. Feel free to leave the walk whenever you need to, but you’ll have to drive separately.
How strenuous is the walk?
How strenuous is the walk? The walks are generally not too strenuous, but we do sometimes hike on rough, and even steep, trails for short stretches. Be prepared to walk from 0.25 to 3 miles in the present weather conditions.
